‘very local’ cultures of mathematics

Very Local Maths is an interdisciplinary team from University of Manchester bringing together social scientists, artists, mathematicians and educators. The project explores community mathematics as a way of discovering, celebrating, and inventing how young people engage with mathematics. We research and intervene in how mathematical participation is recognised, valued, and imagined beyond school.
